Good to know

Part-time studies are not distance learning! The TU Darmstadt is not a distance learning university. We do not offer part-time studies that are organized in evening, weekend courses. There are no separate courses for part-time students. Our part-time programm is a time-stretched, more flexible full-time degree program.

Please note as well that TU Darmstadt has different language requirements depending on the degree programm. Please visit International Admissions for further information.

Application procedure

To apply for part-time studies you must first enroll in the full-time degree programme, which you would like to study part-time. Afterwards you can apply for part-time studies. Please note not all degree programmes can be studied part-time. Please check in advance whether part-time studies are available for your degree programme.

For information regarding the general admission procedure visit Sudierendenservice or International Admissions for international degree-seeking students.

Counselling

We will be happy to advise you on all questions concerning part-time studies and the compatibility of studies with your individual situation. However, some questions are better answered by other TU Darmstadt service facilities. These include detailed questions about entrance qualification, the application procedure and questions about your choice of studies.
