We also advise on maternity leave and help students with children to reconcile their studies with family life. We provide information about the services offered by the Technical University of Darmstadt for students with children.

We take time for a telephone consultation during normal office hours from Monday to Friday and, of course, we answer your email enquiries. By appointment, a consultation can also take place via Zoom or in person.

Telephone counselling

Please call us on 06151 1627010 (Gabriele Pfeiffer) or 06151 1623684 (Anne Schmidt). We can be reached during normal office hours from Monday to Friday. If you are unable to reach us, we will be happy to call you back. We use an online system for our calls, which means that if we are not online, you will hear a message saying that the number is not in use. Please do not be confused by this.

In-person counselling in the office

Face-to-face counselling sessions only take place by appointment. Appointments can be arranged by or telephone or booked via Moodle (TU-ID is required),

Online counselling via Zoom

Students at TU Darmstadt can make an appointment for an online consultation directly via our Moodle course (TU-ID is required) using our calendar.
Prospective students, as well as those who wish to make an appointment outside counselling hours, are kindly requested to contact us in advance by email or telephone to arrange an appointment for an online consultation.

Zentrale Studienorientierung und -beratung The Central Student Orientation and Counselling Office (ZSB) of the Technichal University of Darmstadt is the primary contact and counselling point at the University for prospective students and students with study-related concerns such as study decisions, planning and organisation as well as for problematic or difficult study courses.
International Admissions At International Admissions foreign and German applicants with international certificates receive information about the Technical University of Darmstadt on application, admission and enrollment.
Anti-Discrimination Officer The Anti-Discrimination Officer offers confidential consultation to all members of TU Darmstadt in cases of discrimination. Additionally, under the Hessian Act on Higher Education, the officer has a legal mandate to identify discrimination risks and advocate for their reduction.
General Students' Committee (AStA) The General Students' Committee of the Technical University of Darmstadt (AStA) is the elected representative of the student body. It represents the interests of the students towards the university management and the state government of Hessen and advises the students in all social matters. There is a BAföG-, social, legal and foreigner advice service.
Complaint and improvement management At the complaint and improvement management students can complain about everything that directly affects their studies and teaching at the Technical University of Darmstadt: from the organization of studies in individual degree programs to courses, examinations, administration and service, to infrastructure and individual members of staff or students.
Studierendenwerk Darmstadt The Studierendenwerk Darmstadt supports the students in their social, economic and health issues. They take care of student financing (BAföG) as well as advising students in various life situations. There is a social and legal counseling and psychotherapeutic counseling office.
Disability representative At the Technical University of Darmstadt there is a representative for disability issues who ensures that the special needs of disabled and chronically ill students are taken into account in all areas of the university. He helps you and supports you in clarifying important questions.
