Internship	A mandatory internship amounting to 15 CP must be completed in the degree programme. This equals a workload of 9 weeks (with 37.5 hours per week each). The internship can be completed full or part time. Internship regulations (German) (opens in new tab)
Thesis	Requirements: at least 60 CP Modules 02-24 -0700 Master-Seminar, Modules “Seminar” and “Accompanied Self-Study” must be successfully completed in the elective focus. If the subject area “ pre-modern” is chosen as the focus, the successfully completed Latin courses I and II of the Language Centre of the TU Darmstadt or comparable achievements have to be proven when registering for the Master's thesis. Workload: 750 hours Deadline: 52 weeks

The degree programme M.A. Geschichte will be closed at the end of the summer semester 2027 (30.09.2027). Registration for the first or a higher regular semester is possible for the last time in the summer semester 2027. Re-enrolment is possible for the last time in the winter semester 2029/30. This also applies to part-time students. There will be a follow-up degree programme M.A. Historische Praxis.
